What a great taco joint! This place is tucked away in the parking lot of a gas station. From the busy street level you'll never know it's there, but it's well worth the detour to stop by and try. The food portions were generous and priced right. I got 3 birria quesatacos and was pleasantly surprised at the size of them and the generous quantity of meat stuffed inside a corn taco shell. They also gave me a complimentary birria consome with which to dip the tacos. Both tacos and consome were super flavorful and well worth the treck to find this hidden gem. They have benches outside if you want to eat right there. With Spanish music playing at just the right level to make you feel festive, but not overly noisy, it provides a great ambiance to enjoy the food. If you are visiting the place, keep in mind there is only one way to access the food trailer: via the Sunoco gas station right next door. My Google Maps told me to drive behind the McDonald's to get there, but that is impossible because a wall blocks any through traffic so you have to go around.

I did not know I could find authentic birria tacos like what I had here at Don Perez. It was nice to meet Destiny, who opened this food truck with her sister-in-law during the pandemic, and I appreciated learning about their idea that they brought to life and the great success they are having with their food truck business. Food was scrumptious and their elote was one of the best I had. Great and efficient service too. I will be frequenting this place regularly for sure.

Excellent service throughout! And the prices are very reasonable, they're worth that and more. Quality and service was amazing!! Delicious food, first-class service, and flavor, 100% recommended. It was my first experience at 3784 Howard Ave. I bought birria and asada tacos, along with other dishes. Oh my goodness the food here was so delicious. I’ve gone a couple of times and i tried new foods that made me want more. The people there were so nice to me and they made me feel welcomed. The atmosphere is nice, there is places to sit so that you can have the pleasure of enjoying the food right there instead of in your car. One of my favorite employees is Aylani, she’s always giving me my food with a smile and she always makes sure I have everything I need. Will definitely be going back soon!!!!

Tacos Don Perez is a MoCo classic. All the simplicity and quality of a classic food truck, paired with established location and reliable hours of a classic restaurant makes this one of the best places to get a taco in the county. You can't go wrong with anything here. My personal favorites are the Al Pastor and carne asada tacos, but I've heard the birria is fantastic as well.

Everything you get here is loaded up: I fed two for 30 and we had leftovers. They do not skimp on ingredients. On top of that, everything was delicious. Service was super fast. The outdoor seating under umbrellas was nice too. It's behind a gas station, but theyre doing everything right and Id recommend it!

I was looking for family size size meals on a Sunday night when Tacos Don Perez popped up in the results. I appreciate that I could customize the order online so the picky eaters could enjoy their tacos without cilantro and onions, while I was able to fix mine up with all the ingredients. I also ordered a regular elotes and a slice of churro cheesecake. Everything was delicious! The corn on the cob (elotes) was buttery, cheesy, with a hint of spice. The dessert was more churro than cheesecake with fresh strawberries on top. The tacos were perfection. Everyone ate until full and we still have three tacos left over. I will be back soon. Their freezer was packed with some drinks that I am curious about and there are so many other items to try.
